1 - Have I made you desperate?

[He takes his time before introducing himself, establishing the purpose of this place, the fact that his magic definitely was depleted and not coming back by any means known to him, and weighing up the odds of his escaping by the usual means, before deigning to make his first journal entry. He has taken off his ridiculous supervillain hat, for effect:]

My my, is this not an ambitious effort? Certainly, a more elaborate one than the last chamber in which I was imprisoned. To whose hospitality do I owe my gratitude, may I ask? Which one-eyed wolf has clamped these strange jaws around my throat?

[He smiles, but it's unconvincing. His eyes look strangely pained.]

Or perhaps I expect too much in assuming this a prison, rather than an arsenal of purloined weapons, or a vault to hold the spoils of war?

[A slight pause, before he decides he's giving away far too much, and clicks the communicator off.]

The stated purpose of the ship is rehabilitation, or redemption, depending on your spiritual leanings. We're here to be 'put right', with the definition of 'right' dictated by a faceless omnipotent entity whose personal motives for operating this place are as good as unknowable.

Those safe on their thrones are certainly less susceptible to the Admiral's 'mercy'. I'm sure you've been told by now that death is the one alternative to your being here.

More like a tactic to encourage gratitude to our keepers. Both Inmates and Wardens vanish, on occasion, but I don't believe the threat of being removed from the Barge for misbehavior is one that would carry much weight.

I don't. Nor does anyone else, you'll find, but feel free not to take me at my word. Do you have a name?
chlorophylliac: (smile - oh really)

Poison Ivy, and after I killed my father his identity became irrelevant.

You wouldn't be the first deity here. Maybe the first of your pantheon, though I haven't been here long.

I am.

[She finally bothers to notice it's on video and nudges the communicator so he can see her and vice versa.]

Being Loki would make you from Asgard, wouldn't it?

[She knows as much about mythology as the average well-read person but fuck if she knows what/where Jotunheim is.]

Of Earth might be more accurate than from Earth. Not human. [Any more. Small detail.]

I've read the stories, though obviously I'm in no position to vouch for their accuracy.

I was once human. Aware of a spark of something more, on occasion, but it took the meddling of a jealous and ignorant man to awaken me to my true heritage.

I am the guardian of the Green, the champion of the living Earth. It placed me in opposition of those who see the very planet that sustains them as nothing more than a dead thing to be hollowed out and picked clean.

Most humans who look to me have decided I'm insane, but I don't particularly care for the labels stamped onto one species by another.

[CONGRATS BARGE: You're making Ivy more isolationist and misanthropic than ever. :C]

Not that I often differentiate, but which man was this?

Oh. Him. He's an imbecile. Passes off as hard-earned wisdom what most people grow out of in their early twenties.

It'll bounce off. Idiots are so resilient.

You seem to be familiar with some of our crewmates. Who or what is Fury?

How did he accomplish that? I assume that to be thought of as a god on Earth you must have considerable power, even if it's been diminished here.
